The Valkyrie were dead, or at least that is what she wanted the world to believe. Betrayed by an allied kingdom they sworn to protect during the last war, her people had now all been slaughtered to extinction. Almost.
Alyra was princess of the Valkyrie and the only one left alive to wield the Ivory Flame. Her power could only be given to another willingly and she spent month being tortured by the enemy in hopes she would give it up, but she made sure to protect it.
Instead of giving in, she had built a wall around her power to keep it safe and even a century after her escape, she still couldn’t break it. A war was coming again, and her power was the one thing that could help them win with least amount of death.
Reluctantly, she returned to fight for the same kingdom that betrayed her and is assigned a combat trainer named Kaden to help figure out how her to get her powers back. He is brutal, dark and pushes her to her breaking point more often than not.
